A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:
My name is Daniel Begg. I am in Grade 11 and at SACS. Although this s my first official year as part of the 67 Kids To School team, my affiliation with the project goes right back to its founding in 2015. Both of my older brothers, Matthew and Adam, have previously been involved. My mother has also been connected with Living Hope, our partner, for a number of years. These familial ties mean that the project has an incredibly important place in my heart.
Having been both a Cub and a Scout, giving back to those less fortunate, has always been a large part of my life. Being able to do something for someone that can never repay you - makes you human. It is truly one of the best feelings in the entire world! When all is said and done, we will not be judged by how much we've made, but how much good we've done.
Being a part of the 67 Kids To School team this year means a great deal to me. Not only because I get to follow in the footsteps of my brothers (whom I look up to) but because it is also a chance to change the lives of 67 remarkable children who have got almost unlimited potential. They just need a little help along the way.
“If you think you're too small to be effective, you've never been in bed with a mosquito.”
