Hello Everybody! My name is Bheka Mabika. I am a SACS learner and am currently in Grade 12. I reside in Rosedale Boarding House during the week, and in Schaapkraal during the weekend.

I chose to participate in the 67 Kids To School program because I feel that it is one of the best ways in which I can help uphold the spirit of Ubuntu. This spirit is about helping and empowering others. The reason I am at SACS is due to the kind-heartedness of other people and I would like to play my part in helping other underprivileged people. Even though, one day in the future, I will aim to become successful so that I can help fund underprivileged students at SACS, I would like to start the journey of helping others as soon as possible. 67 Kids To School is a perfect opportunity for me to do this.

67 Kids To School allows me to help those who, through no fault of their own, cannot help themselves. It enables me to bring a smile to the unfortunate and help provide for the country's future. The mere thought of participating in such an act gives me feelings of love and joy.

I am a very religious person, and my faith has given me solace in my darkest days.

According to 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, We should not give reluctantly or under compulsion, we must give because we want to, because God loves a cheerful giver. For me, this sums up what the spirit of philanthropy is. It is giving selflessly because it the right thing to do.

“Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honours him.”

― Isaiah 1 : 17 ESV
